Erasmus+ KA1 funding for VET mobility is open to schools and organisations delivering vocational education and training — public and private VET schools, training centres, chambers of commerce, and other bodies with a genuine role in vocational education. A company that only hosts trainees, without delivering training itself, generally can't apply as a sending organisation, though it can act as a host.

New applicants typically start with a short-term mobility project, which doesn't require prior experience with Erasmus+. Erasmus Accreditation, by contrast, is a status granted after a more detailed application describing the organisation's longer-term Erasmus Plan — but accreditation is also open to organisations applying for the first time, not only experienced ones.

Being eligible to apply doesn't guarantee funding — National Agencies assess the quality of each application, not just whether the applicant qualifies. A school can be fully eligible and still submit a weak project if it hasn't thought through placements, monitoring and outcomes. Eligibility is the entry ticket, not the deciding factor.
